tempo tempo
this work was presented at an open studio visit during the artists in residency program - project batiscafo - in havana, cuba. it consists of an action serving the visitors slices of, just about identical, glazed cakes. one cake carried the inscription "today" and the other "tomorrow". the project aimed to create a situation that is a moment of celebration for the group of people who were present, and functioned as a modest and very simple comment about that gathering.
the persons would be able to participate in the work by "eating" the idea of the time shared and its passing by. the action remains as two photographic images of the cakes. one showing the cakes at the beginning of the open studio visit and the other showing them in the end, when just a few crumbs remain.
