letter to my father

this series deals with dislocation and remembrance connected to own experiences and others marking the body. the body as the only possible map image, multiple and yet always different. on a sheet, the outlines of a body is embroidered with an almost invisible white thread. the outline is followed by printed fragments of phrases which are then covered partly by another embroidery. black stitches reveal only parts of a story, memories reduced to fragments. the sheet is cut and the pieces are scanned and blown up to prints.
